The Trauma-Sensitive Publishing Database Survey
Help develop a living resource for publishing professionals, writers, and survivors
The Trauma-Sensitive Publishing Database will be the crown jewel of this Substack. I’ve begun to amass a directory of agents, editors, outlets, books, and organizations that support the whole lives of the people who are engaged in the meaningful work of bringing our culture’s most astonishing, (r)evolutionary, and heartfelt stories to light—with an attitude of harm reduction.
Please take five minutes to share your recommendations for inclusion in the database.
You may, of course, include yourself and your books or services in your answers.
Please feel free to share the survey outside this group. By collecting and sharing our resources, we are clearing the path toward publication for an underserved group of courageous, tenacious, and honest storytellers.
* Here is an article distinguishing the terms trauma-aware, trauma-sensitive, trauma-informed, and trauma-responsive. I’d like the database to be inclusive of all levels, so anyone in publishing with the intent to “foster resilience, and promote the overall well-being of individuals and communities who have experienced trauma” can be reached.
